Nine year old Abel (Christopher Ruiz- Esparza) lives in a dysfunctional family whose father has left the family home. Not knowing who he really is and in order to maintain his equilibrium Abel has to blur the drama of reality with escapist fantasy when he takes over the running of his family by adopting the father figure role. However the sudden return of his father to the breakfast table after a two-year absence creates a conflict of choice.

Interesting concept – bizarre ending!
A jolly festivity choice – not. (Mince Pies 10 though!).
Funny but also very sad.
Made me feel sad.
Lost it’s way a bit after a promising start.
