Tuesday 25th March

8.00pm

At the Height of Summer

France/Vietnam 112 mins

Director: Tran Anh Hung

Devastated by the death of their mother three sisters bond together, but although the women always shared their thoughts with each other each of them conceals a dark secret.

Thursday 27th March

8.00pm

Monsoon Wedding

India/USA/France/Italy 114 mins

Director - Mira Nair

During the four days leading up to a modern Indian wedding, friends and relatives from all over the world gather to enjoy the celebrations.  But the bride has a secret.

Friday 28th March

8.00pm

Talk To Her

Spain 112 mins

Director: Pedro Almodovar

A strange tale of two men in love with two comatose women.  The men develop an unexpected bond that takes them on an emotionally charged journey of love, obsession and loss that is both compelling and controversial.

Almodovar's follow up to All About My Mother is weird, funny, but still deals seriously with real themes.

Saturday 29th March

7.30pm

SATURDAY DOUBLE BILL

(Please note earlier start time)

Best in Show

USA 90 mins

Director: Christopher Guest

A semi-improvised 'mockumentary' looking at the surreal world of professional dog shows.  From the writing team behind “This Is Spinal Tap”.

Best In Show will be followed by an interval, with the next film starting at approximately 9.30pm

The Man Who Wasn't There

USA 115 mins

Directors: The Coen Brothers

A barber gets mixed up in murder and extortion in 1940s Santa Rosa.

Billy Bob Thornton is mesmerising in this moving, funny, noirish tale.

Tuesday 1st

April

8.00pm

Love And Death On Long Island

UK/Canada 93 mins

Director: Richard Kwietniowski

Unlikely tale of the obsession harboured by reclusive London novelist Dr De'ath for a not very talented American teen pin-up after seeing him in a B movie.

This is a unique and fascinating story which benefits hugely from John Hurt’s superb performance; which is a rare comic treat from this great actor.
